Special Process Steps for EGR Investment Castings

Tooling

Design is highly productive and accurate for Water Sol Core and Pattern.

Water Sol Core and Pattern Injection

Injection of water sol core and then putting the core into the pattern injection. Take out the core through the leaching process post pattern injection.

Shell Building

The wax tree is repeatedly dipped into a ceramic slurry and coated with refractory stucco.

Dewaxing & Firing

The ceramic shells are placed in a steam autoclave or flash-fire furnace to melt and remove wax.

Metal Pouring

EGR parts are generally made of heat-resistant stainless steel or high-grade aluminium, depending on the heat and weight requirements.

Post-Processing & Finishing

After cooling, the ceramic shell is broken away via vibration and the individual EGR parts are cut from the sprue, and the gates are ground down.
